About SAFE2025
SAFE2025 marks the 11th edition of the International Seminar on Sustainable
Agriculture, Food, and Energy (SAFE), continuing a decade-long tradition of fostering
global collaboration in sustainability.
The inaugural seminar, SAFE2013 was held in Padang, Indonesia, from May 12–14, 2014,
setting the foundation for future discussions on sustainable agriculture, food security,
and energy solutions. The momentum carried forward with SAFE2014 in Bali, Indonesia
(September 17–19, 2014), followed by SAFE2015 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (November
17–19, 2015). The fourth edition, SAFE2016, took place in Colombo, Sri Lanka (October
20–22, 2016), further expanding the seminar global reach.
In subsequent years, SAFE continued to engage experts and stakeholders from around the
world:
- SAFE2017 in Malaysia (August 22–24, 2017)
- SAFE2018 in Manila, Philippines (October 19–21, 2018)
- SAFE2019 in Phuket, Thailand (October 19–21, 2019)

- SAFE2023 in Chiang Mai, Thailand (May 28–29, 2023)
- SAFE2024 in Jeju, South Korea (June 26-27, 2024)
With each edition, SAFE has strengthened its role as a premier platform for knowledge exchange, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration in sustainable agriculture, food systems, and renewable energy. **SAFE2025**, hosted in Vietnam, will build upon this legacy, bringing together leading researchers, policymakers, industry professionals, and practitioners to address the most pressing sustainability challenges of our time.
